Spoke to gentleman and I understand that he is not the GM but as a frequent customer since 2018 I asked for the restroom and was told it was "Out of Order" but the i told him about them having 2 restrooms and then he said "Well I was instructed by Chloe not to lend out the restroom eventhough we customer ls and not just as public." Never shopping ever again. I would recommend people to this location because of the coffee not anymore. I will now recommend for people not to go there because of their customer service.

Went by the grocery store, and I was very surprised and happy to see a wide selection of food with my favorite vegan options and the most delightful coffee. It was very scenic and had welcoming atmosphere. The employees were very helpful to me and even gave me directions to help me navigate downtown. This place has the best coffee for a reasonable price and I highly recommend. Thank you Royal blue for all you do!

Stopped by here to grab coffee after lunch and also got to try a sample of the daily soup. It was very good! The atmosphere and service were friendly with both grocery and meal options offered, among more,in addition to coffee. Look forward to returning.

One of my main priorities in life whenever I travel is to find the nearest convenience store (or Costco/Sam's Club) to stock up on massive amounts of water - it's just that important to me. Although, I seemed to have missed the mark in my recent trip to San Antonio because I didn't get water prior to checking into my hotel; therefore, I was delinquent and made it a high priority afterwards. My family and I stumbled across Royal Blue Grocery (RBG) after we finished our dinner down the road and I was shocked to see a quaint, yet cute/little store nestled in the middle of downtown. When we walked in, I quickly noticed a coffee bar which I wanted to try but couldn't because I was full from dinner. So instead, I just took the direct path to the refrigerator section and picked out several bottles of water. The girl working wasn't as friendly as some of the other employees I've encountered while visiting this city, but she was still efficient at her job. In fact, normally when you walk into a small store, it's typical that someone would greet you upon walking in, but that didn't occur here...or perhaps my expectations are too high these days. I was in San Antonio attending a work conference at the Convention Center. I always make a point to start my mornings at local coffee shops when out of town. Royal Blue Grocery is located in the Savoy building in downtown San Antonio. Founded in Austin, Royal Blue Grocery is a modern urban grocery whose offerings are responsive to the community it serves. It features Stumptown Coffee Roasters and East Side Pies in its coffee bar/deli and locally sourced, unique grocery, convenience, and gourmet grab-and-go products. Its hot sandwiches are freshly prepared, and the San Antonio store has an impressive wine selection. Royal Blue Grocery is not your typical bodega and has a cozy, inviting feel with plenty of natural light. Limited seating is available both inside and outside the store, but all seats are great for people-watching. Customer service is very solid and definitely more coffee shop-like than corner store. The coffee was great, and I plan to try their prepared items during my next trip to San Antonio.
